- Allow the device to switch to using HID mode in order to initialize when write restrictions are in place through Group Policy or third-party software. This will cause the device to use it's HID (Human Interface Device) drivers instead of the normal Storage Device drivers. Previously, the device could not initialize properly when a "Deny write access" policy for all Removable Disks or CD/DVD devices was enabled.
